Here are both parents feeding their little ones. The one with the Red Head is the female. They all start out looking like the male on the right side of this photo and then slowly (one feather at a time) the red starts to come in on the females when they get to be a few months old. Right now we have three families of house finches feeding off of our two bird feeders. It is a feeding frenzy!!!
PS: These are grainy and dark photos because they were under a dark porch (at a distance) and I could not use a flash.
