My name is Christina and this is what started out to be my dog/horse blog named after my dog Lexi. Slowly my blog has morphed into a dog/life/farm blog. I love to take photos of everything relating to the farm and local events. I am also a Design Junkie and love to take my old run down ranch and redesign every inch into my dream retreat. What is Wrong With This Picture?
I was sitting in the parking lot of the local Taco Bell yesterday (eating an amazing soft shell toco which I should not have been eating because I am on a diet). This particular Taco Bell parking lot sits at an intersection with a stop light. As I sat there eatting my delicious taco, I noticed a woman driving with her Yorkie on her steering wheel barking and jumping out of control. What is wrong with this picture? This is a huge distraction for the driver and if this woman gets into a wreck, her air-bag will deploy and her little Yorkie will be TOAST (if you know what I mean). This not only endangers the life of her dog, herself but also everyone else on the road driving near her. I know we love our dogs, but can we please use some common sense when it comes to safety? We all want to be around a for awhile so please be a good doggie parent and put your pups in the back seat (preferably with a harness on which attaches to the seat belt to keep your dog safe and secure).

we agree. We may not like our seat belts but at least we are safe!
ReplyDeleteI never understand why people drive with dogs on their laps, just a tragedy waiting to happen like you said.

Hallo! We are here with the Saturday Blog Hop! Lily used to try to sit on our Mamas lap whenever our mama drove somewhere. She didn't stand up though. She just laid down because she was scared. Mama got her a seatbelt but she doesn't like it much, so now she may have to ride in a carrier like a regular dog!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Buddy doesn't like riding in the car. I finally put the bottom half of his travel crate in the back seat. Now when he does get in the car he gets in his box the minute I start the car. I wonder if it's my driving?!
ReplyDeleteI hate seeing this but sadly I see it ALL the time!
ReplyDeletethe one that bothers me is the terriers that stand on the gas tanks of motorcycles while they drive around..
