It has been raining here on Bluebird Farm for days and it is suppose to continue to rain for the next six days so Nitro and I got out on a walk (in between thunder storms) before it starts raining again. Here are some photos from our walk around the neighborhood. As you can see those Canadian goslings are getting bigger and bigger not to mention everywhere we looked, everything was so lush and green. I am glad we are actually having a spring this year instead of jumping right into summer. We should have a really good hay crop this year and all of our wells should be filled to the rims! That makes for happy horses and happy farmers! Enjoy this beautiful season, Lexi, Nitro, Tallulah, Bailey and Christina xoxoxo
See how much they have grown! There was six but only five made it this far. Last year we had six.
Big fat ground hog having diner by the neighbor's pond.
This is Cookie the neighbors horse (she is very sweet).
Such a handsome chaperone!
I love this mailbox because it reminds me of simpler times.
Nitro walking with me. He got a bath last week for the Pet Expo and he is still really clean.
We have huge flocks Wild Turkeys here on Bluebird Farm and every year we have a big batch of poults (baby tturkey chicks) following their parents around. In all my years here on the farm I have never seen a Tom Turkey. Well look what I spotted off in the distance! I took following photos below from a distance because I didn't want to interrupt old Tom Turkey's mating ritual. Isn't he just stunning? Spotting old Tom Turkey made my day.
Such a handsome devil!
We put Christmas lights on our cross in the yard five or six years ago to celebrate the birth of Jesus and they have remained on the cross since. When you come up our driveway in the evening as the sun is setting, the cross lights up from the sun setting. It really is stunning to see when Nitro and I walk up the driveway after our walks together.

It's great to see some sunshine. I ready for more! Enjoyed your photos! Tom Turkey is super handsome! So is Nitro, of course. I can't believe how big the goslings are now. Growing up so fast.
ReplyDeleteTom is just so regal! and of course so is Nitro and Bailey. We've had a little less rain here in Northern VA but love those sunny days, too.

I love the pictures of your beautiful farm. I'm sure Ginger, Sassy and Chili would have a great time living there! Stopping by from the blog hop. Happy Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing little goslings trailing along after Mom or Dad! What a nice view of your farm!
ReplyDeleteThey're so sweet. I think Rowdy is missing Handsome a little bit. Not sure if we will get a second dog again or not... *sigh*
