Special thanks to my friend Kristin Guffy with Dogs Rock for coming out to the farm and taking photos of Nitro and I for our new website. She did such a great job and we sure enjoyed her company. Kristin and I will be going to BlogPaws in Northern Virginia in about three weeks. We are both very excited.
Nitro and I have been neglecting The World According To Lexi followers for the last few weeks because we launched our new website www.deafdogsrock.com . With that being said, I want to try to make it up to you all (because I love ya) and share some of the photos taken around the farm this summer. I love summer time and it is by far my favorite season of the year. I prefer this time of the summer because in August all of my Sunflowers, Hydrangeas and Crape Myrtles bloom. I hope you enjoy our summer photos around Bluebird Farm. According to my dog Lexi, these are way overdue.
Bluebird Farm is surrounded by neighboring horse farms. These beautiful horses are right next door to us.
As you can see our five baby goslings are all grown up.
Some "wild and unruly" flowers growing near the neighbors farm.
Our summer shadows on our walk together.
As we were walking and I noticed all these dragon flies lined up on the high-tensile fencing drying off their wings in the summer morning sun...who knew?
All dry...
One of our neighbors is a musician so he has this mandolin mounted on one of his trees leading up his drive.
This is my neighbor Wendy's mail box. Wendy has lots of chickens and I love them because I get to hear her Rooster crowing every morning. Nothing says "country living" like a rooster crowing in the morning, well except those hungry horses all whinnying up and down the road (to each other) waiting on their breakfast to be served.
My sensational sunflowers. The bumble bees are in heaven!
My beautiful Crape Myrtles look like big balls of cotton candy.
I've been playing with my new Nikon Cool Pix P500 camera with a 36X zoom lens. I just sit on my front porch and click away.
Nitro and I discovered this huge Elephant Ear plant on the side of our neighbor's driveway.
My four little summer sunbathers!
I took this shot Thursday night around 9:00PM. Look at this beautiful summer full moon!
Happy summer!

Awhh, thanks, and you're very welcome. I was happy to help, and I'm glad you found a photo or two you like. I've had trouble keeping up with blog stuff lately, but I need to go back and do a post from my visit to the farm.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe we'll be hanging out at BlogPaws in 2 weeks? Can't wait!
These photos are great!!! I love the hummingbirds, flowers and that moon. WOW!! I hope you all have a great weekend.
Amazing pictures! I love the shots of the dragonfly--gorgeous clarity. I've tried taking moon shots, but nothing ever comes out like yours! Guess that means I need a better camera.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of you and Nitro!
