On Monday night of this week (8-29-2011) I let the horses out onto the back pasture and they were so excited because the horses next door were in the neighboring pasture so they could all hang out together. I could hear thunder in the distance and within minutes the sky turned dark but the sun was still shining on the clouds. I knew I had only a small window of time to take some photos before it started raining. I took these over a period of about 10 minutes and then it down poured. It was absolutely beautiful outside and we needed rain so badly. As you can imagine, I was thrilled when it rained. I think the horses enjoyed the rain because they refused to come into the barn when I called them. There was big bolts of lightning so I tried to get them to come in but they were not cooperating. It started to rain so hard it was like they got a "pressure washed" from Mother Nature. According to my dog Lexi, she will never understand those silly horses.
My name is Christina and this is what started out to be my dog/horse blog named after my dog Lexi. Slowly my blog has morphed into a dog/life/farm blog. I love to take photos of everything relating to the farm and local events. I am also a Design Junkie and love to take my old run down ranch and redesign every inch into my dream retreat. Join Lexi, myself and all the delightful creatures at Bluebird Farm and have a peek inside our wonderful world... "The World According To Lexi"
