Daisy's Introduction at the Salem Rotary Dog Park
It has been a crazy busy couple of weeks. I went to BlogPaws Pet Blogging and Social Media Conference in Salt Lake City and I had a blast. Our sister blog Deaf Dogs Rock came home with the BlogPaws Nose-to-Nose Award for Best Cause Blog! Talk about excited and honored not to mention I got to meet so many nice people. We also did a Flat Pet Flash Mob at our BlogPaws Conference this year.
When I came back to Roanoke I wanted to start worked on finding our friend Andrew and his wife a rescue dog. My friend Cathy Miller at Deaf Paws Haven Rescue in Georgia sent me a photo of an adoreable11 month old boxer named Daisy.
To make a long story short, our friends from the park adopted Daisy so the following photos are of Daisy and her new daddy Andrew, their other dog Goober playing at the Salem Rotary Dog Park over the past couple of days. Oh did I mention, we also had a bad storm and I lost power for 5 days? I'll save that story for another time all together. Anyway please enjoy "Daisy's Day at The Dog Park.
Isn't she just a doll baby?
Nitro was smitten at first site of Miss Daisy.
Trixie and Daisy had a few rounds because Trixie is the top dog at the Dog Park and she wanted to make sure Daisy knew her place in the pack.
Nitro had an itch and I sure got a kick out of this pretzel of a dog pose!
Yada, Yada, Yada...talk to the PAW!
Trixie policing the area....
By the third day Daisy was finally starting to relax and figure out where she was fitting into the pack when it comes to our morning play group.
Daisy is also starting to bond with her new daddy Andrew. Daisy is only 11 months old and as far as Nitro and I are concerned she just won "the dog lottery" being adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Null. You go Daisy girl!
This is Daisy's new brother Goober. Well actually it might be her new live-in boyfriend. Goober is the best dog at the entire dog park because he loves to play with everyone and he is such a clown.
I call Goober a total BEEFCAKE! What do you think?
Here is Ozzy, one of my deaf dog Nitro's best friends. In the background you can see Ozzy's mom Cherri loving on Miss Daisy.
We have such a handsome pack of dogs at our morning play group at the dog park.
Ozzy...
Beefcake Goober early in the morning standing on the big cement culvert at the park with Daisy standing next to him on the right.
Got Beefcake?
This is the new family at the Salem Rotary Dog Park. Daisy is on the left, Goober is in the center and Andrew is on the right. What a happy new family.
Yes BEEFCAKE!
Isn't Daisy one of the prettiest boxers you have ever seen. She is very athletic. As a matter of fact she can jump over and clear the 5 ft fence in the background so Andrew has to keep her distracted and occupied so she doesn't jump over the fence. We all try to help out and keep an eye on her while she is playing at the park.
My sweet husband Chris with our dog Nitro playing with his friend Ben. That is John in the chair (black dog Trixie's dad).

Sweet Miss Daisy...
See how petite Daisy is when Chris holds her in his lap?
I love this shot...

Goober is like "hey baby, I am a beefcake so you need to play with me!"

My sweet dog Nitro patrolling the area...
There were two new dogs in our play group on Wednesday morning. They both were Laberdoodles and they came from the same litter. They were simply adorable!
Such a pretty Blonde!
