Welcome Bud to Bluebird Farm
Chris and I don't take adopting another dog decision lightly because we don't just get a puppy. We adopt a deaf puppy and and all the issues that can come from an older untrained deaf puppy. We have committed to take our new deaf puppy Bud through at least 6 months of training all the way through the AKC Canine Good Citizen training and testing. We encourage all of our Deaf Dogs Rock followers to go that extra mile when it comes to training their deaf dogs. It is one of the sure ways to beat stereo-types and misconceptions when it comes to deaf dogs.
I really feel like I just finished with all of Nitro's training (16 months straight of training Nitro) and now I am starting all over again with a new deaf puppy. I have to wonder if I am totally out of my mind crazy. Yes I must be crazy in love! Well please help me welcome Bud to our family here on the farm. Here are some photos of Bud and Nitro over the past week.
The Brothers From Other Mothers!
Nitro Turns TWO!
Our sweet friends Brian and Cherri who also own two boxers threw Nitro a Birthday Party cookout to celebrate his second Birthday. We all has such a great time. Cherri even decorated the house and I baked sweet potato muffins with peanut butter icing for the dogs to eat and celebrate. Here are some photos from Nitro's second Birthday party.

Yummy...
Now? Now? Now?
The Fabulous Five!
The dogs of Bluebird Farm.
Bud using Bailey as a pillow..
Miss Lexi was the only dog missing from the group photo above so here she is hanging out in her little bed on the couch in the living room. She is such a doll baby!
My boys...
It rained really hard for a couple of days this week and filled up the doggy pool with fresh rain water and acorns. Nitro and Bud decided they would have some fun so they played "bobbing for acorns" one day.
I love how Bud sticks his head under water!
They sure look like they are from the same litter, don't they although Nitro is 13 months older then Bud.
Bud has some breathing issues so you will notice in many of these photos his little tongue sticks out. He reminds me of Goamer Pile!
This night was a huge breakthrough because our Shepherd mix Bailey never lets the other dogs sleep near her but look at her letting Bud use her as a pillow. We were pleasantly surprised at this photo opportunity.
Here I just had some fun playing with some of my editing tools.
Doesn't this look like a pink waterfall?
